About Asset Languages
Asset Languages is a unique assessment scheme which rewards language skills of learners of all ages and abilities, in primary, secondary and adult education.
Asset Languages is designed to support your teaching. It offers an alternative to one-size-fits-all assessment because Asset recognises progress:
In small steps throughout the year
In the separate skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
Through external assessment, leading to nationally-recognised qualifications, or through more informal teacher assessment
In 25 different languages.
Asset is designed to measure proficiency rather than to assess a particular course of study. It fits around your existing schemes of work. Asset assesses the skills of learners against a lifelong scale, called the Languages Ladder.
